J.J. McCarthy Rallies Vikings in NFL Debut: Fourth-Quarter Surge Beats Bears 27–24
After three shaky quarters in his first NFL game, J.J. McCarthy flipped the script and led the Vikings to a 27–24 win over the Bears. The second-year quarterback, returning from a torn meniscus that wiped out his rookie season, threw two late touchdowns and ran for another. Head coach Kevin O’Connell’s halftime message—“You’re going to bring us back”—proved right. Caleb Williams scored twice for Chicago in his debut.
